Loss of Navigation

Collage for me is not only about the disparate parts of the image that are put together into a single picture; it is about the elements that eventually come together to construct a new reality: unrelated fragments at the beginning, but deeply connected and interacting pieces in the end.

The series of collages Loss of Navigation about the experiences associated with moving to a new country. The materials used in these works include cardboard, decorative paper, and gouache. The collages reflect the state of loneliness, loss, hopelessness, and uncertainty.
